Headwaters Park with Erie County Conservation District

Monday, March 10 from 10-11 AM

Visit one of the region’s beautiful nature areas, Headwaters Park, on this guided hike. Trails weave through 4 different habitats with several different trail surfaces including ADA accessible boardwalks. If any special accommodations are needed, please contact Erie County Conservation District ahead of time. Please dress in layers for the weather. Warm boots/waterproof hiking shoes would be most comfortable.

Presque Isle State Park Bus Tour with DCNR

Monday, March 10 from 12-3 PM

Tour the region’s most popular attraction, Presque Isle State Park! This will be a bus tour of the park led by a DCNR environmental educator. The bus will leave the Bayfront Convention Center at 12:00 PM, visit the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, then travel around the peninsula learning about historic sites. The bus will drop folks off at the Bayfront Convention Center at 3:00.

Asbury Woods

Wednesday, March 12 from 1-3 PM

This post-conference trip will include lunch at Asbury Woods, a nature center and 234 acre preserve. After lunch, attendees will get a tour of the nature center and a 2 mile guided hike to visit the famous Grandfather and Grandmother trees. You must provide your own transportation to the nature center, but it’s on the way out of town!

Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park

Wednesday, March 12 from 1:30-2:30 PM

Join LEAF for a walking tour of the arboretum! Please dress for the weather and bring water as needed. Walking trails are a combination of pavement and gravel. Please wear comfortable shoes.
